The persona I show, portrays the lie I am,
A lie that shows that I’m all right, damn,
There’s never been a lie so profound,
A lie in which I’m forever bound.

The truth’s too much to bear,
Something I just can’t share,
Not even with those that care,
For I am stuck with my despair.

Speaking up, that’s what I should do,
Share with you so you have a clue,
I’m just not capable of sharing,
So you don’t have to start caring.

The truth’s too much to bear,

Not even with those that care,
For I am stuck with my despair.

What I have to say one day you’ll hear,
Unfortunately that time’s not near,
I haven’t the strength to come clean,
So for now my persona will stay serene.

Ahh, high school, oh how these years torment me, a little better than a week before I'm off to grade 12, I've had a happy and fufilling summer, I just hope school doesn't, well, lead me to the deep end. I have great friends, both online and off, so I believe I should be fine, this poem I suppose is just risidual, or whatever you want to call it, thanks for the comment, it's much appreciated.

a feeling everyone knows, unfortunetly.

is there any music/beat you've got in mind for it? i'm listening to irish music right now, so it's all.. uplifting and bigpipe-esque in my mind.... probably not what you were intending

No, can't say that I had irish music in mind, oddly I was listening to death metal whilst I was writing, but I was thinking something like Lacuna Coil, if you know that band; it has both a male and female singer, and it's kind of...Nightwish/Evanescence-ish, but also kind of not like either of those...they're kind of like Lacuna Coil.
